Hi all,
I'm looking for an audio player that would quickly let me move forward and backward while listening to an audio file (jog-shuttle type interface). Ideally something that I can use the trackpad for to just my fingers left or right to move the audio clip back and forward. Maybe that wasn't too clear, so here is what I want and why players like VLC and Audacity don't seem to work for me (I might not know of a feature either).
I'm learning a foreign language right now and as part of it I record my language helper speaking. What I want to be able to do is listen to these clips and move back and forward between his statements so I can quickly review each sentence.
It just seems that if I just drag the time marker in VLC or audacity it is not that accurate (jumps around a few seconds here or there). This is a pain to position it where I want it. So ideally I was looking for something with a smoother 'scrolling' method within an audio file.
I was thinking something that emulates a sound record board that has that wheel on it you can turn left or right and the audio clip plays forward or backward on the fly.
Well hopefully this makes sense to someone and there is an app out there that can help me out.
Matt
