After reading many threads about external hard drives, it seems like OWC and fantom drives are the way to go. but i think their external HDs are a little bit overpriced, plus i already have a WD 120gb HD and i just want to find a small and light enclosure that works with my ibook. recently, i actually bought a usb 2.0 enclosure from sanmax and i have had all kinds of problems w/ it. everytime i tried to copy files from the drive to my ibook, it would slow down the system so much that the mouse pointer wouldn't stop spinning>so i have to restart my comp. 
And it seems also the enclosure is not defective cuz it works perfectly on my two other PCs.
So does anyone have any advices on which enclosures are reliable? (in a sense that it's compatible with mac)
BTW, i would like to have one that's under 50 bucks.
