Title covers most of it; I'm nay spring chicken and my reaction time might not be as good as it might be, but I did enjoy some of the classic platformers that were around in my day - and yup, I'm old school - Manic Miner etc. on the Sinclair Spectrum was always a fun game for me.

I've tried many different platformers today and I find them way too hard with far too much pixel perfect positioning and\or timing down to the half second. My thumbs and fingers don't move as fast as they could, nor does the old noggin capture all it could either.

So, this all said, I'm looking for some 'easier on the fingers and brain' type platform games - more gentle and forgiving without driving me insane just because I was two pixels and one quarter second too late. Something with a bit of a challenge, but not something infuriating either...

Anyone got any suggestions? Prefer iPad but if it's easy enough, an iPhone only derivative would do.

Anyone help this old lady out with some simple platform games? Are there any?

Well, not so much a platform game, but I heartily recommend FTL: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ftl-faster-than-light/id833951143?mt=8

1) Very easy to pick up. Much more difficult to master.
2) Not an RTS whatsoever, despite how it may first appear. You have to constantly pause the game and think to have any chance of winning.
3) It’s disgustingly frustrating and you’ll probably want to strangle me if you take my advice and play it.

I almost bought an iPad just so I could play this game on a touchscreen instead of my laptop. It’s that good.
