In a van down by the river
As someone new to the brisk walking / jogging scene, I have been looking around Amazon for an accurate (real time) heart rate fitness tracker, whether it be a watch or band. I would like to see some feedback from those here, who use such tools (and have been) on a regular basis, in regards to accuracy, usability, function, sturdiness, sweat / water resistance experience / iPhone 6 integration / price / does it include a heart rate strap/ and whether you would buy the product again.

The only HRM I use links with ANT+ with my Garmin watch, however I believe if you have a Bluetooth HRM you can link this with your iPhone and use an app like Runkeeper

If you are looking into starting running I highly recommend Garmin products https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/giftguide/forerunner-15/prod145621.html

I currently use a Garmin Fenix 3
https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/outdoor/wrist-worn/fenix-3/prod160512.html which I wear as an every day watch and does daily activity tracking and also all activities I do like, Running, Mountain Biking and swimming

After reading and viewing a lot of reviews on several different fitness trackers, I finally took the leap of faith and purchased the Polar M400 fitness watch. I got it for $110.00 + shipping on Amazon just now, which is an excellent deal, in my opinion.

My brother had given me the Polar FT7 which has been working well with my Polar H7 HRM. However, I felt the screen display font / layout was a little small, not to mention the extra firm buttons, and the lack of daily tracking. Hopefully, the Polar M400 will prove to be money well spent.

Anyone else have the Polar M400? If so, how has it been working for you?
