I'm looking for simple dock that can charge my iPhone 3gs and use it as an alarm. I have the griffin universal charging dock, but when I put the phone in it, the speaker gets disabled so I cannot use alarmclock app like 'nightstand'. Only the alarm from default 'clock' works from iPhone speaker.
So are there any simple/cheap charging dock that can accomplish this?

I was at WalMart last week and saw that they were selling the apple dock for the 3GS. It looked just like the dock that was included with the original iphone. The 3G or 3GS did not fit the original dock and one was not included with the purchase of the 3GS. But there it was for sale at WalMart. I think it was about $30.

Thx, but I need to know if the speaker on iPhone would work when it's put it on the dock.
Does apple brand universal dock enables iPhone speaker to work when it's put it on the dock? Anyone know?

The speaker worked with my 1st Generation iPhone in the apple dock. I would assume it would be the same with this one, but that is just a guess.
