I've read here that the 2020 MBAs can't run Mojave, but what about the 2019? I assume they can as they shipped with it, right?

Which means that if one gets a 2019 MBA with Catalina, one could always roll it back to Mojave.

Or, am I wrong about all this? It wouldn't be the firs time!

Thanks for the feedback!

Glad for the confirmation! (Wow, is that macsales website a nuisance on an iPad... a side black strip keeps sliding over just a bit and blocks the screen.)

As to Catalina vs. Mojave... I rely on Word 2011 and Excel 2011 for my writing and analysis. They'll only run under Mojave.

I've tried Word 2016; tried Office 365; even Office alternatives (Libre, Open) and Apple's Pages; and they lack key features that I regularly use — even something as basic as command-click to select a sentence or the the side bar option for searching.

The more recent Office programs have also eliminated most customization ability, which means that my workflow is utterly disrupted—I have customized menus and keystrokes in ways that are a regular part of my what I do. While Libre and Open offer customization, commands are awkward to set up and cannot control certain actions, either.

Plus, I’ve been reading about various issues with Catalina, so I have little interest in it. Thanks for asking!
