Hi
Can anyone suggest suitable software for creating business card and other advertising material for my 'start-up' company?

I would like to be able to create a unique logo and perhaps customise text; distort, stretch.

Especially interested if it's a free download.

Look forward to your replies

Best I've seen are Belight Software's Business Card Composer (for cards) and Art Text (for logos)....but they aren't free. I haven't found any decent, free business card software.

Try InkScape, Seashore, GIMP, GimpShop, all great art tools fine for text creation etc.

For Card design, depends on how unique you want to be. I buy the Avery 8877 double sided cards that you can print yourself, and they are actually very good. Clean edges, decent stock quality, not superb, but good enough. I also use their free software that helps with the template of those cards, and many others of their type.

I designed my logo using Inkscape, clipart that was free on the web, and GimpShop.
