Unless I'm mistaken NONE of the Apple Thunderbolt Displays have what you're looking for. They were all USB 2.0.

Prior to the TB Display was the Apple Cinema Display. You can tell the difference between them as the TB Display has USB / FireWire / Ethernet / Thunderbolt, whereas the ACD only had the 3 USB ports.

Hope this helps.

Thanks csurfr. So every TB Display is the same. Anyway is manufactured in 2012 or 2015. Correct?

That’s correct. Wikipedia says that a MC914LL/B was released in like 2014 that supposedly includes the $10.00 MagSafe to MagSafe 2 adapter, but it also says citation needed, so that may not be true.

Regardless, the adapter is easy to find, and most people selling the TD had that adapter anyway.

Hello again,

I just fund a nice Display. Now i ask my self how i can fix the Problem with the Connection. My Plan is to connect a Mac Mini (2014) permanent to the Display and a MBP (2015) just from time to time. And here is the breaking Point. How can i do that without unplucking the Display cable? Just buying a second TB cable? Dos this Work? How do i switch between the Machines in Case the Mini ist still running?

Thanks for your help.
