Hi there,

I've been playing Zelda on the SNES9x emulator for the past weeks. Today my MacBook Pro crashed and with it, it has corrupted the entire save file for the game.

Unfortunately I don't have TimeMachine on my MacBook.

Can anyone recommend a software that can recover overwritten files?

Well I am not looking to fix the corrupt file, I am looking to recover an old version of the file.

I normally save the game once a day after I played 2-3 hours. So if it would be possible to recover a version of the file that is 2-3 days old I wouldn't mind.

If the save file has the same name every time you save it you are pretty much out of luck.

programs like data rescue recover files that have simply been deleted, not overwritten.
