I am a graphic designer, so I run the creative suite and also do some web development. I would like to run parallels to also be able to use windows on my new mbpro. I currently have a 15" mbpro 2007, 4gb ram, 250gb hdd.

I am considering these:

MacBook Pro 13" 2012

This comes with parallels set up and microsoft office suite

MacBook Pro 15" with retina 2012

My budget is $1500.

To be honest, I would look at one of the retina options from this year or last year refurb.

The macbook pro from ebay is upgraded yes, but it's a 13 classic Macbook pro which is slowly becoming very outdated.

I doubt that you would need 16 gb of ram but the 13 inch baseline with 8gb of ram and 256 gb ssd would be great.

Thanks for the response. How do you tell if it's a classic?

It has a DVD drive and the ports on the side of the machine are indicative that it is a unibody non retina MBP
