Hi,
I've been looking into buying an external display for my iMac (early 2008) and have a couple questions:
1) Has anyone has any experience with the HP w2207h? It seems to be the best buy out there for my price point and my requirements (which at this time includes the ability to go into portrait orientation on the default stand) that is actually physically available in my area. I'll end up paying about $305 on it, so I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth it. It seems to be really nice aesthetically, and it's an exact replica (resolution-wise) of my current iMac (20" - 1680x1050).
2) What would be the best way to connect the monitor to my iMac? I would love to use the HDMI capability of the monitor (being that the only other option is VGA - why they didn't do DVI is beyond me) and I believe the model I have (again, the early 2008) has the mini-DVI port on the rear. So does it just come down to buying the Apple mini-DVI to DVI adapter and a Male DVI to Male HDMI cable or is there another way to do it (keep in mind, I'm not much into online purchasing, so Best Buy is pretty much my only option).
Thanks in advance,
Corey
