Looking for lower end DV Camera with analog-digital pass through

Any recommendations? This will be my first such video camera. I would like to be able to use it to transfer my VHS to DVD as well by using a pass through. I have looked at the Canon 800 series, but have not been able to find out if they have pass through.

The bad: No accessory shoe or microphone input; bottom-loading tape compartment; doesn't support analog-to-digital conversions; not enough stabilization at full zoom; poor low-light performance.
