To cut a long story short, many businesses around the world have refused to work with the Australian government's new tax laws. It's not hard, companies like ebay are doing it just fine. It does mean Amazon and other companies have blacklisted shiping anything to Australia out of stubbornness.

This means I will need a good frieght forwarder that works with companies like Amazon that is not too expensive so I can actually buy things from Amazon again. Does anyone here know of such a freight forwarder that I can use for the US businesses who refuse to ship to Australia because of this?

Just so then we can actually shop online at on these websites again.

As a former seller on eBay and Amazon I also banned these companies which bid on the behalf of 3rd parties. I also dropped shipping outside the U.S. as its far too risky. Its a free ticket for buyers to steal from selelrs like myself when we are forced to take PayPal. Rather easy for the buyer to claim anything as it will not be investigated - it will be rubber stamped.

I recall one guy from Canada bidding on my items and then having them shipped to someone in the U.S. across the border who would bring them to this buy in bulk. The problem is my listings said U.S. residents only - he violating the listings TOS, but of course eBay didn't have a problem with it as they could care less about any consquences to the seller.

Have you tried signing up for a foreign account with one of these companies? I needed a Japanese biography that was only offered in searches on Amazon Japan but I was able to order via the U.S. Amazon and have it shipped form Japan to the U.S.. So can you setup an account with Amazon Canada and then have it shipped to you?
