Can anyone recommend a decent set of speakers, in the sub $400/€300 range, that;

  1. Will input from my Mac Pro (not sure what audio interface works best!?)
  2. Will input, at the same time, from my 360 using the leads in the pic.
I don't work professionally with sound and don't have any leanings towards one type of use (games, film, music etc). I'm not too bothered about surround sound (if any more wires/devices spring out from my desk my girlfriend will start crying indefinitely).

I got my Logitek Z-5500 5.1 surround speakers for my macpro & they are Awe Inspiring! It has optical in, and should be compatible with the X-Box also.

Got mine from Tiger Direct, for $370.00 American. Had a 50.00 rebate also.
There are also deals to be had on ebay for them.

Try checking SoundMatters. I've got a pair of their MAINstage speakers that offers four different inputs. Sound is quite good to my untrained ears and offer simulated surround sound in a compact, one piece unit. The ones I have seem to have been replaced by the more powerful MAINstage HD. But they offer refurbed original MAINstages in their outlet store which is on their site.

Those are nice speakers. I personally have the z2300's, which is a 2.1 setup. They are also very nice!
