looking for new fast quite hard drive to put in an enclosure

I am looking for one with these qualities, to put in either a macally or OWC enclosure, I was suggested the 1 TB western digital 64mb caviar drive, but I read that it is very loud. I would like to get one at 64mb cahce but that is quieter, the western digital green series looks good, but needs special software to use with windows xp, I want one that is compatible & will work out of the box.

any other good brands or models? suggestions? thanks
