I always buy unlocked iPhones and pay in full.
I currently have a 13 pro max. I have been using T-Mobile $40 10gb plan with unlimited music streaming.
I consistently use about 10gb a month which is the limit of this plan. T-Mobile also has a $50 unlimited plan, however, I always have an issue when my phone is on “5GUC”. So I think I want to switch to another carrier.

I only need one line. Husband is on the $25 a month 8gb AT& T plan because he works from home and is always on Wi-Fi. I don’t have Wi-Fi at work.

any recommendations around $40 a month with at least 10gb of 5g?

I've been using Visible (verizon network) for over a year at $25/mo for unlimited everything. You'll likely see the complaints about them online, but I've honestly had 0 issues with them. Service is identical to what I had with VZW postpaid for fraction of the cost.

Beauty of prepaid is you can try them all out until you find one that works best for you.

Generally the cheapo “unlimited” plans suck because they throttle you down to dial-up speeds so often it’s like never being connected. I used at&t’s version of that for a year and it was excruciating. Never again.

Red pocket art Google it 22gb for 40 a month

The cheap mvno plans like visible work great if you aren’t in a congested area. If you are you’ll almost never see data service. You have the lowest priority. That said, if your area always has excess capacity you can get service cheap.

Cricket has a bit less deprioritization vs say visible. There is a cricket wireless sharing sub on Reddit where you can hop on a 5 line plan and pay someone, this way everyone saves money. I’d try that first if you’re in a solid AT&T area.

Otherwise pay for a month and try them out one at a time.

T Mobile 5G UC is driving me nuts. I just ordered a Twigby SIM and am leaving T Mobile. Their 5G network in my area is so bad that I don't see why I am paying for it.

I have been using visible for almost 2 years now. I’ve had no issue what so ever. As someone stated above if you do live in a congested area visible might not be ideal. You can always give it a test drive.

I thought 5GUC was supposed to be better than the 5GER (ultra capacity/extended range)?

Have had Mint Mobile for a few years--uses the T Mobile network, $15/mo 4GB, $20/mo for 10GB, $25/mo for 15GB, $30/mo for unlimited (35GB of 5G). You can do a 7 day free trial and if it works you can sign up and get 6 months service for the price of 3.

PM me if you need a referral, but you may have the same issues if they offer 5GUC as well.

I live in one the most densely populated cities and my experience has been perfect. (Knocks on wood!)

I’ve had family go from Verizon to Mint Mobile here in southern CA. They really like it. They say they can’t tell the difference.
