Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a nice note taking app for Mac OS X to use during my lectures at university.
Currently, I'm using the Notebook view in MS Word, but it's way too unstable & buggy for me to keep using it.

The app must meet these criteria:
  • the ability to record audio along with the notes
  • the audio must be synced with the typed notes (meaning: if I press a word, I want to hear the audio that was recorded while I typed that particular word), like in MS Word
  • the ability to divide a document into sections and subsections

Some more criteria, but these aren't necessary, just welcome extras:
  • Nice UI design
  • the ability to import images

Really hoping such an app exists.
If not, a troubleshooting guide how to keep Word from crashing every time I pause an audio recording is fine too, haha.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure of any software that does what you need but, for my notes i use a livescribe pen. I can take notes and recordings of the lectures plus everything is in sync, and digitized when you need to review them.

I already have one of those, but for some courses I'd rather use my MacBook Pro.

Thanks for the reply though!
