Looking for Notes in Time Machine

I have had to restore my rMBP to a backup that I did on the 25th July, which I did without a problem.
However I need to restore my Notes from last night.

How do I find them on my TM backup?

I know on my rMBP they are in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.notes/Data/Library
but I don't know how to get there on the backup.

First go to ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.notes/Data/Library in Finder and then enter Time Machine. That should allow you to go back to the date/time you need.

I forgot to mention.
The TM backup that I am trying to restore Notes from is a Yosemite build.
I have rolled back to Mavericks due to not being able to run Parallels 8.
