iPhone 14/Plus Looking for opinions on what would be my best upgrade path?

Looking for opinions on what would be my best path going forward.

I currently have an iPhone 11 on metro that I plan on transferring to my partners t mobile account.

Right now I can get an iPhone 14 for free when I transfer.

What are opinions will I get a better free model by waiting or is this a good deal now. I will not have to trade in my current phone to get the free 14.

All the models will offer a "free" phone with a trade in by the major carriers (ATT, VZW, TMO).

It's a matter of how many months you are locked into a contract in order to get it for "free".

I never do that route - I just use the Apple Card and get 24 months are 0%.

Carrier deals don't benefit the consumer. They benefit the carrier. If you think you are getting a phone for free, you are sorely mistaken. Buy the phone outright and be done with it. One should never be under the carriers thumb.
