My model is the stock 2.66 early2009 version 320gb drive 4gb of memory.

I wanted some suggestions on what might a better upgrade option, to save money and to not have to do amny changes under the hood of the system.
i kind of wanna open it up once and swap some parts in and be on my way.

I was looking at the HDD and Memory.
Since prices for SSDs are still very high and out of alot of my pprice range and I dont really need alot of internal space, but a respectable amount would be favorable.

So i was looking at 640GB WD Scorpio vs 128GB SSD
and adding 8GB of memory.

would the 5400rpm 640gb give me any performance difference betwen the 320GB WD stock drive that it came with?

thanks

If you don't need the SuperDrive, you could get the 80GB Intel SSD and replace the SuperDrive with it. Then transfer your OS installation to the SSD while using the HDD for everything that you don't need speed for. And a RAM upgrade would be another good idea.
