hi, can anyone help me, how can i play all regions.I have mac 10.5.5

HL-DT-ST DVDRW GS21N:

Firmware Revision: SA15
Interconnect: ATAPI
Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipping Drive)
Cache: 2048 KB
Reads DVD: Yes
CD-Write: -R, -RW

If it works, you might want to change the default DVD viewing application. Go to System Preferences, then to CDs & DVDs, and in the 'When you insert a video DVD' menu, choose 'Open other application...' and then choose VLC.

tanx....but tried that way already. The vlc programme doesn t override the region lock. I think it did in the earlier version but macbook pro 10.5.5

With the RPC-1 ...the vlc overrides the lock as far as i know.

ok so i tried that again with preferences to ignore and dropped the VTS_07_0.IFO files on the vlc icon...and this is what happened..

maybe you understand all this???
 
From a quick look at the log, it seems that there is a physical problem with this DVD.

- Is it scratched?
- Have you successfully played it before?
- Does it work on another player / computer / OS?

Oh, and another thing: use VLC's File>Open disc to read the DVD, that might help.


Side note: next time, use a service like Pastebin to place the logfiles, as putting them into a forum post means that people have to wade through it every time that they want to view the thread.
