Looking For Remote Desktop Alternative

I am hoping to control mac's remotely, but don't have the money to spend for apple's software.

anyone know of alternatives?

I've used this in the past, not sure about tiger compatibility. It does help if you include some info of the systems you were hoping to run on and the network you have installed!

If you use VNC, be sure to learn how to tunnel it over SSH - that makes for a much more secure system.

VNC all the way. Just download the free version here.

It's a rather foolproof way to go. There are other alternatives out there, but I don't know if any of them are free.

You cant go much wrong with OSXvnc and Chicken of the VNC.
Preferably over SSH, since the normal VNC traffic dont use encryption.

i'm running them now, but can't figure out how to remotely control one machine from the other.

or maybe this function is not part of this ?
