I have an 11-inch Macbook Air (2011 model) with an LG display.
With the default settings on the screen (and default settings on lion), the interface (bars above every application, backgrounds in this forum, etc) seem to be sort-of beige and peachy colours almost. I'm sure my screen is the same as any other 11-inch screen, so you should know.
When I try to calibrate using Supercal (or using Apple's calibration settings), I always get a different outcome: Everything gets a tad bit bluer. In some cases it's only slight. The colours look to have more depth. Things look a tad bit nicer. But making things look nicer and thinking they have more depth by comparing them to the original profile might just be a flawed setup... I might be making the colours flashier, but less accurate.
When I use this: http://www.pbase.com/jackcnd/image/75285375, the original setup (default) seems to get the best results. However, with my modified setup, I get the same results... though a little less separation in the middle-area of the reds... seems whenever I do a different calibration, reds get a bit darker (shouldn't be that way I don't think).
The gist of it all: Could someone who knows what they're doing, who has an 11-inch Macbook Air, please share with me their settings? Maybe a couple different settings? Or if they actually have what they would call the most accurate settings... I'd love to have that. I don't have the Supercal full version (I'd pay for it but I don't have a credit card, its free version isn't impressing me too much after trying it a few times, and it's not in the app store).
(ps... I have no idea how to add downloaded screen calibration files to my computer. I tried getting into the ColorSync Utility folder, but there was nowhere to put the files so they could be read. Yay being new to Macs! :-D).
