looking for something to make animations

Actually, I wrote a little program to turn a chess game into a GIF89a animated format. Is this what you were looking to do?

What sort of animation?
You can load some images into Quicktime and save them as a movie if you want something really simple. (you might QT Pro for this, so maybe not free).
Yeah, what kind of animations are we talking about?
Pre-rendered animations you save as a movie file or something like Quartz?
just like simple stuff i can do when i get bored. im not lookin to start a new season of the simpsons or anything.

If you have Windows then download Ulead Photoimpact. It's just awesome. However, I don't know how to add two animations into one picture. Take a look at this! I just did it within 2mins. Only few clicks and pow!
