Howdie,

I've always gone caseless with my phones as I don't like the bulk of cases, and never have had problem with accidental damages. This is the backing on my 5s which I like a lot - provides grippiness and some personal style - and I'm looking for something similar for my new iPhone 13 mini. I've purchased a plain wood skin from Etsy and it will be my last resort, but I'm hoping the community might know of shops/makers that either have something in the same vein but with designs or will take custom orders. Thanks much in advance!

Also, if anyone recognize the maker of the wood backing on my 5s please let me know. I don't recall who is the maker but would like to contact them if they will make one for a mini, thanks!

How does that attach to the back? With adhesive? Also, I'm guessing you acquired this "backing" second hand since you don't know who made it? I searched for "iPhone wooden puzzle piece backing" and the closest thing I found is this, which I'm sure is not what you want since it appears to be a full case:

You could always message one of those sellers who make wooden iPhone accessories to see if they would take this on as a custom project.

It's attached to the phone by some 3M adhesive iirc. It was not second-hand, but it's been 5-6 years so I don't recall if it's from ebay or directly from some online shop. I did contact a couple Etsy sellers who makes wooden inlaid cases but the answers were negative unfortunately.

Maybe search your email account to see if there's a "paper trail" that might lead you to the seller (order confirmation, receipt, etc.).

Maybe there's a local carpenter or someone who does woodworking on the side near you who would be willing do to that.

Thanks for the follow up, and advice!. Unfortunately I live in a metropolitan area that's not really known for woodworking. Though however your suggestion did give give me an idea to check with some of the reddit subredits, and perhaps more specialized wookworking forums -thanks!
