Carrier looking for the best deals on 8/X

So my wife and I are thinking to switch to Verizon unlimited any day, pending we get a good deal. We are currently with ATT which started to suck pretty badly around my workplace (hence switching the carrier). We both use 6S'es.

It seems like this year the deals on the new iPhone are pretty crappy to say it at best. Does anyone know what is the best place at this point to score 64GB iPhone 8 and 64GB X? Should we continue to wait? I want to exclude any Black Friday doorbusters deals. We do not want to deal with a f... zoo and risk ours lives to save few extra dollars. The goal of ours is to switch the carrier and get new phones before the year ends. Thanks

You mean you're surprised, Apple latest flagiship phone with new features that is still in high demand is not getting discounted

Seriously when a product is being discounted its because the retailer is trying to drum up business, that's not the need the case with Apple's newest phones, they're selling quite well.

T-mobile just announced their "black friday" BOGO deals, including the iphone 8. I know you're on Verizon, but most carriers tend to match deals pretty quickly. You'll probably see some sort of BOGO deal soon.

Just did the ATT buy a X get an 8 free deal a few days ago. (You need to add a line). Worked out well for me though as my son was going to get his first phone for Christmas anyway.
