I’ve been searching round the internet but can’t find much on what I need.

Can anybody point me to reviews or real-world comparisons (not tech specs) of the following:

MacBook 2015 vs MacBook Air Mid 2011 or similar.

MacBook 2015 1.1GHz vs 1.3GHz

PC mags have one.. nothing too detailed (I don't believe)

why not go 1.2 (if you also use extra storages like me). I just don't think it's worth paying extra for just CPU upgrade when it's minimal improvement. Storage space.. i can live with that (especially when it's not as easy to plug harddrive in

I don’t need storage. My current 2011 MBA has only 128GB and I haven’t filled that.

However, I see what you mean. Double the space and .1GHz less for £50. Hmmmm

well, if you don't need it, then there's no point paying extra for it.

I believe upgrading from 258 to 512 normally (on MBP or MBA) is the same, except this time Apple throw in extra 0.1 ghz for free.

A lot of people are stating that 1.2 runs at lower power and less likely to get throttled so that's something you might want to take into considering too.

I personally went for 1.2 version, since I constantly run out of room in my old mbp retina. (so i might be biased)
