Back in the '90s, my late brother had an app on his Mac (he always referred to it as 'Quicktime', but I think he was in err) which allowed an end-user to 'fly' through the interior of a house, a building, or even an outdoor courtyard.
This was accomplished by taking a camera and shooting several 360-degree 'nodes', having the app stitch it all together in such a way that an end-user viewing it could use the mouse and travel throughout the house, up stairs, even to an outdoor yard or garden.
While I realize that most digital cameras have a 'panoramic' feature, this seems to work only for a single scene, or 'node'.
Can anyone tell me if such an app still exists?
