Looking for Time Capsule

Hey guys looking to buy a 2-3TB Time Capsule.
Thing is I just recently bought an Apple Extreme thinking I wasn't going to need the storage.

So long story short, is there some sort of buy back or exchange program where I can trade my AE to help pay for the TC?

No.

Why not just buy an external hard drive and use that? Cheaper and will last longer due to it not running 24/7.

Of course that's under the assumption that you don't have multiple Macs you need to backup. If you do, I highly suggest getting the cheapest TC and just throwing an external on the back of it. That's what everybody does as it's cheaper and allows you to have MORE storage for less.
