In a recent move I lost my antenna for my stereo, and therefore do not get AM radio stations very well at all. So, I started listening to some of my favorite programs being streamed online.

What I'd like to do is find some way to setup my computer to connect to a certain stream and record it (preferably in mp3 or some other compressed format) at a given time. Example: "Record stream X from 12-3pm."

Does anything like this exist?

If not--it should!

Thanks...

There is a tool for XM radio that will do it, but you have to a pc and the xm card for the pc. It recorded just like tivo in mp3 format. I haven't seen anything for am/fm radio. You would tv/fm turner for your computer and hopefully the packaged software allows applescript, and you could do it that way.
