I am looking for a UASP enclosure which appears to the system as the model name that the hard disk inside reports, not some label.

Thanks

I couldn't "see" the vendor ID using either Apple's "System Information" or their "USB Prober" utility.

However, I tried an old copy of Drive Genius and it -did- see the drive's ID info displayed this way:
Drive Title: ASMT Crucial_CT240M500SSD1 Media

I also tried an old copy of TechTool Pro, and for some reason it -didn't- report the drive ID.

I'm going to take a -guess- and say that the info you wish to see is not a function of the enclosure, but rather the software that is "looking at" the enclosure.

I could be wrong, perhaps others will jump in and correct me.

I think that means Disk Utility shows it as "ASMT Crucial_CT240M500SSD1 Media" too, which would mean Windows sees it as "Crucial_CT240M500SSD1" which would be good.

Which 3.5" UASP enclosure?

OP asks:
"Which 3.5" UASP enclosure?"

I boot and run my late 2012 Mac Mini from a Crucial SSD sitting in a plugable.com "lay-flat" USB3/SATA dock.
