Hello

I'm looking for a Web Cam (With a Microphone Port). Most, if not all web cams have built in microphones. They're generally not very good, picking up background noise etc. I realize other users utilize a connection to their computers for this purpose. However that makes things more complicated having to use another 'audio application' like 'Audacity' etc .. It seems to me, having the ability of connecting an external Mic directly to the web cam makes things a lot easier. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank You

I think you may struggle to find this, what are you planning on using it for?

I use Zoom, Microsoft teams for work and both allow use of a webcam and a different microphone. In my case it’s a usb headset and have no issues with that.

"what are you planning on using it for"
As stated, for anyone with an audio background, its a perfectly reasonable goal ... As an alternative you can use a lapel Mic but annoyingly you may have record the dialogue separately then face the challenge of having to RE-SYNC the audio to the video while using a video editor.

Yes I understand these are commonly used .... but its a lousy alternative ... not aesthetically pleasing for a professional interview.

*Anytime you're trying to get the best fidelity for (a professional interview), the worst audio is what you'd get from a streaming camera; too far away from the source and susceptible to background noise ...

Anyway thanx for the reply ... I'll keep searching
