I'm trying to find a free or trial version of software.

Something where I can work in html or switch to a website view to fine tune things without learning all kinds of code.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Actually, I highly recommend squarespace.com. After using Dreamweaver to design our corporate site, we switched to SS and have been blown away. Truly an awesome system for online design & publishing of websites. It makes site management a breeze.

I have to agree. i haven't used SS, but looking at it, I would definitely give it a run on Sandvox or IWeb. I've used both of those, and you can get to the html, but only after you export them to folders on the local drive.

Try RapidWeaver trial version - it is very easy to use and works well with Mac Applications such as iPhoto...
