I'm moving away with work at the beginning of the new year and thought it'd be good to invest in a laptop. It'll be used for general internet browsing so didn't think buying a brand new model would be beneficial to my bank balance.

The spec is:
Late 2010 release year 'mint condition'
1.86GHz intel core 2 duo
4GB Ram
128GB SSD

And a asking price of £400

Getting my pants pulled down or is it a fair deal?

All answers appreciated

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), and Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what a reasonable price may be. Then adjust the price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc. You can also check the Apple refurbished store to see what similar models are selling for.

Thankyou, that Mac2sell websites very helpful! Would you say prices on there are reliable?

Don't go by just one site. Check them all, as some sites may quote higher than is reasonable on some items, and lower on others. Check many sites to get an average.
