Hello,

I'm sorry if there is already a thread for this I couldn't find anything in the search.

I'm looking to purchase a MacBook Pro, I've found one that I like but I'm a little confused on the max RAM. It says 8g on the apple specs, but I've also seen some people say that you can put two 8g sticks and it will run as 16g. I really would like to be able to upgrade to 16g if possible. Which is right? 8g or 16g max?

I've provided specs below. Thank you for taking the time to read this and respond. Have a great weekend.

MacBook Pro "Core i5" 2.4 13-Inch (Late 2011) features a 32 nm "Sandy Bridge" 2.4 GHz Intel "Core i5" processor (2435M)

16GB. I've found nothing in the hardware that would not allow 32GB, if they ever come out with 16GB DDR3 SODIMMs.
