Hi,
i'm living in Switzerland and looking to buy a 3GS. With the imminent release of the 4G i'm expecting to see a price drop in the 3GS and therefore waiting for this to happen. However I've heard of carriers discontinuing the previous model for a new one.
So my question is do I buy one now before they get discontinued (as they are offering a discount of 10CHF on the monthly bill) or do you guys thing they'll still be around with a price drop?
Ted

Firstly it is very cheap considering it retails at £550 in apple, I doubt it will reach what you say as no-one would be interested in it because of the 4g/hd..

Hopefully I will win it and get it for around £300 :)

Don't get your hopes up, you won't get it for £300. Even O2 will pay a trade in price of about £310 for that model.

I have watched several auctions finish over the last few days and they have ended up between £400 and £450.

You assume that everyone knows about the 4G/HD. Trust me, they don't.

Lets just say I've been watching it for a while and I think I got a good chance as it seems no-one is bidding on it.

Nobody with any sense bids on an auction that has over a week to run. It's completely pointless.

The wisest bidder will show no interest and bid in the very last minute. Others will drive up the price nearer to the end.

Good luck anyway.
