Hello, I'm just starting my research in finding a good home theater/surround sound system for my 50-inch Bravia. I play PS3 in my basement but I only use half of it.

That has been recommended to me for easy of use and great sound quality and I can even get that for $550 from other retailers.
Is that a good buy? Can someone recommend something else to me?
I am a complete surround-sound n00b so any help would be great.
