Looking to buy a late 2009, help please

Hey guys, I've got an acquaintance that's selling a late 2009 Macbook, model A1342. Condition is good, except for a small crack in the hinge, works fine. He said it may need a battery and charger in the nearer future. Upgraded to 8GB RAM.

Would this laptop be fine for web browsing and typing papers? What about light games such as league of legends?

What would be a fair price? How much would the battery cost to replace, and the charger?

I use mine for heavy xcode development, graphic editing and a bit of gaming so you'll be fine with it for web browsing and paper work. They're still pretty powerful machines.

As for league of legends, I haven't tried it yet but it should work ok-ish. I couldn't tell you about the battery but I think they're about $100 from Apple.

I paid £270 for my machine and £30 for 8gb of ram and I thought that was a fair price.

Probably the lowest settings with a resolution of 1280 by 800 and being sure the cap the FPS at 30
