Looking to buy a macbook pro

Well, I only have about $1000 to spend on a macbook pro, so it looks like i'm going to have to buy a used one. Preferably a 15-inch.

Does anybody know where I can find good deals on used MBP's?

The marketplace here is always a good choice. If you could swing a 13" I think you can get a refurb for around $1019 from Apple.

Then there's always eBay and craigslist which are kind of hit and miss.

My opinion (I am new to this) is to get the refurb model from Apple to get the one year warranty on the product. I would say go for the Apple Care, too (I think you can do that) but I understand you are on a budget.

I got the mb471ll/a from cowboom a few months back for $909 for reference. I have had pretty good experience with ebay, just make sure you are buying from someone with a lot of feedback that has sold computers before.
