So I've been wanting to buy an iMac so that I'd have a desktop and a laptop. But I'm not sure when the next update for the iMacs will be. I'm hoping that the graphics card would get a bit of a boost for the next update.

Considering Black Friday is coming up and I don't usually shop around this time, I'm wondering when would be the best time to buy. Black Friday or after the holidays? I think there are usually good deals afterward but I'm not sure if Apple cuts prices or not.

I'd love a solid opinion on what I should do.

1) Buy on Black Friday?
2) Buy after the Holidays?
3) Hope that the next update is substantial enough to wait it out?

Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving!:)

Sandy Bridge? I don't know much about it.

Any idea when it will come out?

The updates have followed an alternating 8 and 11 month cycle. If that holds true then 8 months would be around March or April.

Sandy Bridge is the next generation CPU which will likely be launched by Intel the first quarter of 2011.

You can wait but it will likely be a long wait. Todays iMacs are very fast

I am Waiting

I am also waiting for the Next refresh, hopefully they will be a bit cheaper and better.
Also hopefully they will be released early next year!
