I'm looking to purchase a new macbook pro, my buddy's have them and I know they update them often. Does anybody know how long I should wait till the new models come out? or does anybody know when they will be out?

Indeed, it's just too bad about those ancient stubborn pricetags they still have.
One other thing is that when the new refresh comes out (whenever that is), check the clearance section of the apple store website and usually they will put the last gen models on there for cheap. These will be new units, not refurbs. In addition, you can get an additional educational discount on these.
Were all waiting for the new mbp. Welcome to the club. For the past 3 months we get excitied on monday nights and dissapointed Tuesday mornings. Every once and a while iknowstuff and appleguy say something stupid. Yep that's about it. Not to worry though
