So I am really looking into buying some new speakers for my MacBook Pro. I would really like some surround sound ones but I have no idea which ones to get. I've done a little looking around and to me it seems like logitech is the way to go. The problem is that they have multiple types of surround sound speakers. The three that I like are the z-5500, G51, and the X-540. Anyone have any suggestions or comments on these? Please feel free to give me some other options.

For solely surround sound speakers, computer wise the Z5500's are the best you can find in a store. Also check out Creative Gigaworks' other 5.1/7.1. The only other recommendation I have is the near impossible to find Klipsch Pro Media 5.1s.

What are you doing where you think that you need 5.1?

well i just want some good quality surround sound speakers. i dont think i would necessarily need 5.1 but i do want some really good speakers and the g51 and x-540 are pretty cheap.
