Hi, folks. I looked at the machine, and it is in perfect shape. I ran a memory and hard drive chesk, looked at the case, it doesn't stink - it is a nide little machine.
What is the maximum price I should pay? It is secondhand, but the seller is a customer from my last job - she can be trusted. :apple:

Hard to believe, but this machine is about to be 5 revisions old (when the next MacBook Pros come out, and they are due very very soon).

Check here for a deal

It is pretty "old" but retains its value pretty well. It's a Santa Rosa at first glance, I may be wrong. I got my MacBook (signature) when the Santa Rosa platform was first released so it should give you a approx. timeline. For a slightly more you could get a unibody MBP.

That's a pretty well mentained MBP...i have the same rev...

anything around $900-$1000 for this one...

if you can then wait for 27th of this month as rumors indicate new MBP's are coming with better processors...then you'll be able to buy the current gen MBP new 13inch for the same price($999)...also check out the refurb store for deals...i heard refurb unibodies 13inch go for $1000...

Macbook pro variations

How many variations of macbook pros are there,
the models seem to be oldest old and new.
sorry for broad, very unsure.

someone clarify how many models there are?

thanks

Check completed auctions on eBay for similar spec MBPs and that should give you an idea of what you should pay. Mac2sell is only a guide/tool and not always accurate.

i'd say £600 quid ($950ish)

apples retain value well, have you not thought of a new white macbook though? similarly priced

Yeah, I tried to search ebay but didn't know what to search for. I didn't know the "name" of the machine.
I wish they woudl print it on the invoices...

"MacBook Pro 2.2ghz" will get you a long way. Most sellers on ebay don't use code names like santa rosa.
