hey whats up guys.

i was thinking about getting a new iphone 3g.. i had bought the original iphone but was unable to activate it since they wanted to force me into a data plan with At&t so i returned it. now ive been reading some where saying that you don't have to activate the phone if you use winpwn. is this true?

i just need to know if it will work.

however i also read on here that if im using a at&t sim card and use winpwn that i should unclick the activate button when reflashing it becuase itunes will detect the sim card... wouldn't that just put me in the same place i was before.. which is having to activate it?

if you could let me know what to do i would appreciate it

thanks

I'm sure it worked with the 2g iPhone as you could walk out of a store with a iphone with no plans...the 3g will require a plan WHEREVER you buy it. If you want to pay a ETF and try this, go ahead.

BTW, iphone 3gs with no contract go for upward of 550bucks on ebay.
