I'm so sick of the slow speeds on the crappy I-O Data portable hard disk I'm using right now, it's using a USB 2.0 interface and I'm thinking of swapping out and looking for a nice external HDD preferably with a Firewire 800 interface.
Numbers show that it's considerably faster than USB 2.0 so yeah I'm leaning towards picking up a brand new external HDD tomorrow.
My budget is 15,000 yen, roughly $150, 300GB to 500GB will be about right in terms of storage. Any recommendations? Portable or not, I'm open to any form factor.
