Looking To Reduce File Size

Hello,

I downloaded Mpeg Streamclip and was told I have to buy flip4mac to convert a wmv. Is their an app that can do this for free?

First of all, you will lose quality. You are most likely going from one compressed format to another; if your source is wmv, it is already quite heavily compressed, and yes, to compress it again with any application that uses the Quicktime engine then you will need Flip4Mac. There are some free applications that you can try, like the streaming/export wizard in VLC. The interface is not the easiest, but you seem like a guy who doesn't budge in the face of a challenge.
