I have seen some tutorials online but what they suggest does not work.

My Mac is connected via wi-fi, the Xbox is hard-wired into my Time Capsule.

Any help much appreciated.

There are a variety of apps that will help you do this - a quick google will find them. However the best solution I have found (at least the easiest for me) is an app called AirMusic for iPad/iPhone. You simply launch it, and then your ipad shows up as a device on your xbox when you select music. Obviously this relies on you having an iPhone or iPad.
