I have a 2009 MB Pro CTO 500GB looking to upgrade it to 750GB, I have heard that Western Digital Makes a 750GB drive 5400 that will work, part #WDG WD7500KEVT, has anyone heard about this or had experience or know of another drive that will work, I appreciate your help

I have that drive in an enclosure, bought it a few weeks ago. There is also a 1 TB drive, though nobody seemed to have any in stock.

The drive will fit fine in my 15" uMBP, you will need to check there is room in your 13", the drive is 12.5mm high due to the extra plater.

The drive actually runs at 5200 rpm, not 5400. It seems to whirr away quietly enough though I haven't yet put it in my MBP, I prefer to have a 7200rpm drive with my OS on, and the larger capacity drive on the end of a FW800 cable :)
