I got the 12" ibook this morning & whilst browsing around System Profiler I noticed that the Machine Name comes up as ibook and immediately underneath it the Machine Model is Powerbook6,7.
So i wiped the HD, reloaded and still the same Profiler details.
I thought it would be interesting to see if the machine would behave as a powerbook so I took my powerbook CD's and successfully installed the bundled program Graphic Converter which I couldn't do on my G4 Cube, G4 imac or the G5 imac - I got a message saying wrong CPU. Let me just stress this was for experimenting purposes only & it has been removed now.
Is there anything odd with this or am I just being paranoid?
