Maybe I'm just now noticing it but it seems new to me. On my iphone, the home button can be depressed slightly with a slight click feeling but not activate the screen. There is no problem with the button when I press it fully

Just annoying as it feels as if there are 2 clicks when I press the button

Anyone have a similar experience?

Mine has started to do that too, almost like it is clicking/rubbing on something when being pressed. Makes a crackling sound if that makes sense. Could dirt have gotten inside, around the button? Me and my girlfriend got our phones at the same time, and her phone is not doing it.

Yea thats how mine is. Sometimes its pretty audible

Whatever it is, its not cool and is annoying for me when I think about it

well im going to the apple store tomottow

figured since i have to use this phone for the next 1.5 years, better try and resolve this issue

watch it not exhibit this behavior when i take it in....murphy's law

I had same problem and arranged appointment. They told me it's normal behavior and cannot be replaced. Don't waste your time.

mine was doing this, i sent it in to apple and 3 days later i got a replacement

Mine sticks sometimes, I'll depress it all the way down and it will stay. So I have to jiggle it by pressing up and down softly... a little annoying, but I guess I'll have to get used to it.

it depend how loose it is. If it is very loose you should replace it. If it moves a millimeter, you should be fine

Oofta...that seems like an issue that could warrant a replacement. I wouldn't be able to tolerate that.

well i got it replaced

i took it in and of course the phone didnt exhibit the issue. however, the genius said he belived me and replaced it anyways. i just told him, wasnt pushy at all. glad it worked out

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20)

My 1st gen's home button was just a hair loose, but it didn't bother me.
My 3G has a firm fitted button.

it wasnt that the button was loose, it was that it made 2 click sounds per press and felt as it i went through two layers in a sense. not very cool feeling at all

my ipod touch button is loose but doesnt bother me in that its only loose laterally and doesnt feel funny when pressed as my old iphone did

i will say, i like firm buttons lol
